VixShield Answer

The France GDP miss is a minor global event that rarely moves SPX enough to justify resizing an iron condor mid-trade. Keep your position size consistent with your normal ALVH rules based on current VIX and days to expiration.

At VIX below 18, standard size is recommended. Between 18-22 you can run 75% of normal size. Above 22 you drop to 50%. The GDP print alone does not change the VIX regime enough to warrant an immediate adjustment unless VIX spikes more than 1.5 points on the news.

Focus instead on wing-width management. If your current condor is already 40-50 points wide and you are 8-12 DTE, simply monitor how price reacts to the 0-20 delta zone. Only resize if the miss triggers a clear VIX expansion that violates your predefined size-by-volatility thresholds.

Trade the iron condor you sized at entry. Do not let one European data point override your systematic ALVH position-sizing model.
