VIXShield ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have regarding your data. If you have questions, contact us at support@vixshield.com.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register or subscribe, we collect your name, email address, and billing contact information necessary to create and manage your account.
- Payment Information: All payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details. Stripe retains payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. For Stripe's privacy practices, see stripe.com/privacy.
- Communications: If you contact us by email or through our support channels, we retain the content of your messages and your contact information to respond to your inquiry and improve our services.
- Compliance Acknowledgement: When you accept our Compliance Notice, we record your acknowledgement, the version accepted, the date and time, and your IP address for our records.

Financial and Subscription Data
- We retain records of your subscription plan, billing history (amounts, dates, plan changes), free trial status, and referral relationships for billing, support, and legal compliance purposes. Full payment card data resides solely with Stripe.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Stripe, Inc.: Our payment processor. Stripe receives your billing information to process subscription charges and manage payment relationships. Stripe operates under its own privacy policy.
- Render (cloud infrastructure provider): Our application and database servers are hosted on Render. Render processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use your data independently.
- Postmark (transactional email): We use Postmark to deliver login links, signal alerts, and account notifications. Postmark receives your email address and the content of messages sent to you.

- Business Transfers: If VIXShield is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential Cookies: Required for core functionality — session management, authentication, and security. These cannot be disabled without impairing service functionality.
- Functional Cookies: Store your preferences (e.g., referral attribution, notification settings) to personalise your experience across sessions.
- Analytics: We use first-party analytics and basic server-side logging to understand traffic patterns and usage. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party behavioural tracking networks.
- Meta Pixel: Our landing pages include the Meta Pixel to measure advertising effectiveness (e.g., tracking signups resulting from Facebook/Instagram advertisements). This data is used solely for ad performance measurement. You may opt out of Meta's pixel tracking through your Facebook Ad Settings or by using a browser ad blocker.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using some features of our platform.
